All printed circuit boards are constructed of alternating layers of copper and insulating material. During board fabrication, the inner layers of copper are 'cut' away, leaving the desired conductor configuration for connecting components. As a result, we get a bare board on which the desired elements can be placed in the appropriate layout. PCBs differ from each other in the features of the placement of components, the type of dielectric gasket, the number of pairs of substrate and conductive layer, the density of components and many other characteristics. High density interconnect boards (HDI) are used in modern electronics; It ensures the functioning of electronic devices in the existing scale and in the present form. In this paper, different types of printed boards will be discussed; their mechanical and thermal characteristics (mechanical and thermal properties); electrical properties; substrate parameters; Construction and design of PCBs will be reviewed.
