Information about the theoretical knowledge accumulated during the last 30-year period and the international experience gained through cooperation is discussed. The paper presents the beginnings of the Association of Cartographers of Georgia by Prof. Jansugh Kekelia, from its foundation until now. In particular, what path did this organization take, what activities was it involved in, and what prospects does it have in the context of the development of cartographic and geodetic sciences in our country? The work is based on the materials accumulated over the last 30 years as an intellectual resource of scientists, maps, cartographic, and geodetic materials, a valuable achievement obtained as a result of international cooperation, both in the form of scientific experience and collegial relations. Scientific geographical literature, cartographic sources, memoranda of cooperation with partner universities and professors, thematic maps, international scientific reports, etc. will be used in the paper.
