Annotation:

The excitation functions of the dissociation products were measured both in the visible 400-800 nm and in the vacuum ultraviolet region 50-130 nm. For the He+ - N2 pair, the results related to the linear polarization of the dissociation product radiation are presented. Measurements were made in the ion energy range of 0.5 keV-10 keV. It is shown that the excitation of dissociation products for He+ ions is realized in the charge- exchange process. The mechanism of excitation is related to the formation of a highly excited intermediate molecular state during the charge-exchange process, namely, the creation of a vacancy on the inner shell of the molecule. The vacancy formation mechanism is uniquely related to the ion-molecule symmetry of the three-particle system, and the experimental results are qualitatively explained within the quasi-diatomic approximation.
