The problem of environmental protection has become the most popular problem of modern times. Not only specialists and scientists are talking about it, but everyone who is interested in the future of humanity and the ways of its development. In the 20 - 21th century, the famous geographer, landscape scientist, cartographer, the founder of the original scientific school of dynamic landscape science, prof. N.L. Beruchashvili – developed several important conceptions of geography concerning the spatiotemporal structure and dynamics of natural systems. He introduced a number of new terms: the state of the natural complex, landscape-geophysical approach, geomass, geohorizon, Stex, landscape-dynamic situation, etc. N. Beruchashvili was one of the first to apply advanced GIS technologies and expert systems (1972, 1974, 1979, 1980) for data processing, modeling processes in landscapes and new's GIS developet, in addition, at the end of the twentieth century published work related to the use of PC in geography, Beruchashvili (1992). Landscape-ecological study is based on internationally accepted landscape analysis in time and space domain - the Concept of spatial-temporal analysis and synthesis of Natural-territorial Complexes (NTCs) N. L. Beruchashvili (...1982, 1995, 2002 ...). The article discusses the main stages and results development of maps, GIS and data bank.
