Annotation:

The processes taking place on earth were, are, and will be a challenge for humans in the future. Natural processes, which have a significant impact on human activity, which actually pose a threat to the normal functioning of various processes, are especially noteworthy. One of these difficult and highly damaging processes in Georgia is the landslide process, which has repeatedly created serious problems for different regions of Georgia and has also been a victim. The Shovi flood that happened on August 3, 2023 turned out to be one of the most terrifying in the history of Georgia. A mudslide in the area claimed dozens of lives and once again highlighted the need for better study of mudslides as a devastating natural phenomenon. The article presents the reporting characteristics of Shovi flood and the peculiarities of the methodology for determining these characteristics.
